The new sculpt from Reaper arrived today and it’s a gem!
A 1/6 Orc veteran called The Guvna’, the kit consists of the main bust plus a shoulder guard and a sword hilt and scabbard for his back. There are also two spare tusks, but I’m not sure where they go so may or may not include them.
The scuplting is outstanding, you can almost smell the dust of the battlefield on him! Being an Orc, I really don’t want to go down the route of the typical Games Workshop green skin. Instead I want to base the painting around the old RPG called Earthdawn and plan to paint him up like an Orc Scorcher. I’ve started looking through my reference collection to see if there are any suitable pictures to base it on.
As it stands, I’ve added the sword and shoulder guard prior to painting, using a combination of CA and epoxy glue which will (hopefully) hold the parts on. I also have a couple of 1/6 skulls which might find their way on to the base (we’ll see).
